Summer Camp

Avery United Methodist Church is committed to making summer camp affordable for all our families. This year, we have created a campership program to raise funds for camp scholarships!

Who can go to camp?

Ages 4-11 with parent, or Ages 7-17 without parent

What does it cost?

Costs vary depending on camp chosen.

How much will Avery UMC pay?

At minimum, we will cover HALF the registration fee for each child who registers in connection with Avery UMC and participates in fundraisers. After we provide each child with half of their registration fee, if there is still money left over it will be divided evenly among registrants. For family-priced camps, the Avery Campership will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

In order to receive an Avery Campership, the child (or a family member) must participate in at least 2 fundraisers. We are planning three Sunday morning breakfasts on:

  • April 1 (Easter Sunday) – 7:30-9 am
  • May 13 (Mother’s Day) – 8:30-10:30 am
  • June 17 (Father’s Day) – 8:30-10:30 am

We may have additional fundraisers if there is a need. Contact Kristall Moninger at 724-413-9051 to volunteer with fundraisers.

Avery UMC Camperships aren’t just for members!

We will gladly help pay for any child in the Washington area who wishes to attend summer camp through the Western PA United Methodist Church. All they need to do is register with us and participate in the fundraisers.
